About the UAE dirham and the Egyptian pound
The UAE dirham (AED) is the currency of the United Arab Emirates, issued by the Central Bank of the UAE. The dirham has been pegged to the US dollar at 3.6725 dirhams per dollar since 1997, so its rate against the dollar does not change.
The Egyptian pound (EGP, E£) is the currency of Egypt, issued by the Central Bank of Egypt. The Egyptian pound has floated since March 2024, when the central bank let its value be set by the market.
Sending money from AED to EGP
