Business days
Business days count Monday to Friday only. Public holidays vary by country and are not removed automatically, so subtract any holidays that fall in your range.

Adding calendar days to a start date (useful for notice periods, visa stays and deadlines):

Common deadline rules
- "Within 30 days" usually counts calendar days, not business days, unless the contract says otherwise.
- Many legal and government deadlines that fall on a weekend or public holiday move to the next working day; check the rule that applies to you.
- A 90-day visa-free stay counts the arrival and departure days as full days.
- Pregnancy due dates are estimated as 280 days (40 weeks) from the first day of the last period.
Frequently asked questions
Is the end date included?
By default the result counts the days between the dates (end date not included), the way most deadline calculations work. Tick 'Include end date' to count both.
How are months added?
Adding a month keeps the same day number. If that day does not exist (for example January 31 + 1 month), the date moves to the last day of the month.
How many business days are in a year?
About 260 (52 weeks × 5 days), minus public holidays. In the US that is roughly 250 working days after the 10–11 federal holidays.
