How to use the Image Compressor
- 1Drop your images or click to choose them (JPG, PNG and WebP are supported).
- 2Adjust the quality slider; 75–85% gives the best balance of size and quality.
- 3Optionally set a maximum width to shrink large photos even more.
- 4Download each compressed image or all of them at once.
Why compress images?
Smaller images load faster, use less mobile data, fit email and upload limits, and improve your website's Core Web Vitals scores, which helps search rankings. Photos from modern phones are often 3–8 MB and can usually be reduced to a few hundred KB with no visible difference.
Tips for the smallest files
For photos, choose WebP or JPG output at 75–80% quality. Resizing has the biggest effect: a 4000-pixel photo displayed at 1200 pixels wide wastes most of its bytes. For screenshots and graphics with flat colours, keep PNG or use WebP.

Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. Compression happens in your browser, so your images never leave your device. This also makes it fast.
How do I compress an image to a specific size like 100 KB?
Lower the quality slider and reduce the maximum width until the result size shown is under your target. Results update instantly so you can fine-tune.
Is there a file limit?
No fixed limit. Very large images (over 50 megapixels) may be slow on older phones.
