Why convert WebP to JPG?
WebP is a modern format from Google that is typically 25–35% smaller than JPG or PNG at the same visual quality and supports transparency.
JPG (JPEG) uses lossy compression and does not support transparency, but it is supported by every device, app and website. JPG is the better choice for photos, email attachments, social media uploads and any place that needs maximum compatibility.
Because JPG cannot store transparency, transparent areas are filled with the background colour you choose (white by default).
Private by design
Most online converters upload your pictures to a server. This converter works entirely inside your browser using built-in image APIs, so your files never leave your device and conversion is instant even on slow connections.
When to convert WebP to JPG
Images saved from websites are often WebP. Converting to JPG makes them open in older photo editors, Office documents, print shops and upload forms that reject WebP.

Frequently asked questions
Is this WebP to JPG converter free?
Yes. It is completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on the number of files.
Will I lose quality?
JPG uses lossy compression. At the default quality (90%) the difference is not visible to the eye. Increase the quality slider for an even closer match.
Can I convert several images at once?
Yes. Select or drop multiple files and convert them in one go, then download them individually or all together.
Why do images I save from Google download as WebP?
Many websites serve WebP because it loads faster. Your browser saves the file in the format it received. Convert it here to JPG or PNG if another program can't open it.
