How to use the Compare Passports
- 1Choose two passports.
- 2See their scores and where they differ.
- 3Filter the table to show only the destinations where access is different.
Useful for dual citizens
If you hold two passports, use the comparison to pick the best passport for each trip. Remember to enter and leave a country with the same passport, and that some countries require citizens to use their own passport.
Example comparisons
Destinations reachable without a visa in advance (visa-free, on arrival or eTA):
| Passports | Destinations |
|---|---|
| United States vs United Kingdom | 159 vs 162 |
| India vs Pakistan | 58 vs 32 |
| Germany vs Turkey | 165 vs 115 |
| United Arab Emirates vs Saudi Arabia | 168 vs 87 |
Which passport should I travel on?
Dual nationals should enter and leave each of their own countries on that country's passport; many countries require it. For third countries, use the passport with the easier entry, but book the ticket in the same name and keep using that passport for the whole trip so airline and border records match.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use two passports when traveling?
Yes, many dual citizens do. Use the same passport to enter and exit a given country, and use your citizenship passport when entering that country.
