About the euro and the Indian rupee
The euro (EUR, €) is the currency of 21 European Union countries, including Germany, France, Italy, Spain and (since 2026) Bulgaria, issued by the European Central Bank. The euro floats freely and is the world's second most-held reserve currency.
The Indian rupee (INR, ₹) is the currency of India, issued by the Reserve Bank of India. The rupee floats, but the Reserve Bank of India manages volatility by buying and selling dollars.
Sending money from EUR to INR
