Short answer

No visa needed · 30 days

Indian citizens can visit Thailand without a visa for up to 30 days for tourism or short business trips.

How to enter

From 15 September 2026, Thailand replaced its 60-day visa exemption with 30-day and 15-day exemption lists. Visitors not on the lists apply for an e-Visa online before travel.

All visitors must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online before arrival.

Before you travel

  • Make sure your Indian passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your arrival date and has blank pages.
  • Carry a return or onward ticket, your hotel booking and proof that you can pay for your stay; border officers can ask for them even when no visa is needed.
  • Check whether your airline needs to see your visa or authorization at check-in; many will refuse boarding without it.
  • Visas for work, study or long stays follow different rules from the tourist rules on this page.
