Good to know
- ESTA is only for citizens of the 42 Visa Waiver Program countries. Everyone else needs a B-1/B-2 visitor visa.
- You can't use ESTA if you have been to Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria or Yemen since 2011 (with limited exceptions); apply for a visa instead.
- Canadian citizens don't need an ESTA or a visa for short visits.
